Founder’s Story

I established the Ronaldo Damus Foundation in my hometown of Hinche, the community that shaped who I am today. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the immense potential of our youth—aspiring footballers, physicians, engineers, and educators—who were often sidelined by a lack of resources. Too many children faced barriers like food insecurity and a lack of access to schooling, leaving their dreams without a clear pathway to reality.

Now that I have been granted a platform, I feel a profound responsibility to give back. This foundation is my commitment to being a consistent presence for these children, providing the structural support and genuine opportunity they need to thrive.

Vision for the Development Center

We are currently fundraising and planning for a flagship Youth Development Center, designed to be a sanctuary where children will:

• Reside in a safe, nurturing, and stable environment.

• Receive consistent, high-quality nutrition (three meals daily).

• Engage in rigorous academic and supplemental education programs.

• Train under professional coaching with standard-setting equipment.

• Access life guidance and psychological support.

The Ronaldo Damus Foundation was born from a deep personal commitment to the youth of Hinche, Haiti. Our mission is to empower the next generation by providing holistic access to education, athletics, mentorship, and essential life resources.
